A home of rich and easy elegance.

Living Room

Early on in the development process, we knew this home would be the Gathering House because of the client’s desire to have a relaxing, spectacularly equipped space to entertain.

The client loved the model home we used for this subdivision, so we worked from the model layout to develop a home that would stand out with its own distinctive presence. An increased roof pitch, pillars, stone clad dormers and cedar soffits all give the home an impressive, high design feel. Special consideration was given to the placement of the house on the site to ensure the home could be enjoyed as much from the outside as the inside.

Project Highlights

  • Kitchen

The wide plank hardwood flooring throughout the home gives a rich, thoroughly inviting feel. The hand-scraped finish lends a well-storied spirit to the entire space.

  • Patio

    Outdoor Living

The exterior patio and deck areas share 2,200 sq. ft. total. With similar styling and detailing, the outdoor living area feels as spacious and luxurious as the interior of the house.

  • Bathroom

    Spa Experience

A luxurious spa experience awaits in the bathroom with soft-hued, natural materials like marble, granite and chiseled stone. The oversized shower with bench seating and pebbled interior promises luxurious rejuvenation.

The design stage

One of the design considerations for the Gathering House was the need to make the home wheelchair accessible throughout. Beyond making the home comfortable for the client’s brother, the oversized doorways and wide hallways create an open and spacious flow to the house. Oversized windows also fill the interior with plenty of natural light.

An integrated technology system controlling multimedia, hvac and extensive security systems means the client can access all systems from one touchpad, placed in several areas throughout the home – as well as online, from anywhere throughout the world.
