This truly magnificent 4,600 sq. ft. home in Guelph’s prestigious Heritage Lake Estates community is Canada’s first certified luxury Net Zero Home. A net-zero energy (NZE) home is designed and built to reduce household energy needs to a minimum and includes on-site renewable energy systems that enable the home to produce at least as much energy as it consumes on a yearly basis.

This home is a gorgeous meld of woods and whites, taupes and creams creating an ambiance of pure luxury throughout. From ceilings that range from 20’ to 16’ to 12’, a majestic air of glamour permeates, underscored by rare accoutrements like heated patios, walkways and driveway and smoked glass custom stair railings.

The main floor features a temperature controlled wine room with black pearl racking system to house 280 bottles, a 4-season room with floor to ceiling hand carved limestone fireplace and wall to wall windows, a stunning great room as well as a breathtaking master suite, 3 more bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a diva-inspired kitchen and pantry as well as automatic blinds on all windows.

A great deal of effort was put into the design and engineering of this home in order to keep the facade of the home in keeping with classic Timberworx design for maximum curb appeal. The last thing we wanted was to have people drive by the home and say “look at that lovely environmentally friendly home”.  With thoughtful, intelligent design our homeowners can enjoy the future… today.

  • Net Zero

    NET ZERO FEATURES

    This home features three of Canada’s first Tesla Powerwall 2’s, which are a battery back up storage system for the energy produced by the solar panels. Timberworx is the first builder in Canada to install the Tesla Powewall 2. These walls are equipped with energy storage capabilities that can detect an outage, disconnect from the grid, and automatically restore power to the home in a fraction of a second. Residents will not even notice that the power went out. The lights and appliances will continue to run without interruption.

    The roof is outfitted with solar panels that capture the sun’s energy and use it to power the home. The home includes ultra high performance features such as state of the art Pella Windows, showcasing two 19 foot tall glass curtain walls in the 4-season room, as well as ultra high efficient Air Source heat pumps which heat and cool the house. Heating and Air Conditioning loads are greatly reduced because of the combination of the advanced window system, very high insulation levels, extremely air tight building envelope and the ultra high efficient heating and cooling equipment.

  • Kitchen

    KITCHEN

    The kitchen features custom designed cabinetry with a Quartzite slab back splash. Gorgeous Wolf and Subzero appliances include M Series black glass double ovens with an additional steam oven, coffee maker and microwave, a 30” fridge and 30” freezer, 36” induction cooktop, 2nd 2 plate induction, a Teppanyaki grill and more. The pantry features Subzero beverage fridges, a second dishwasher and a sink and faucet. One of the highlights of the kitchen is its 22’ black leather granite island with double sinks, dishwasher and seating for 12.

    BASEMENT FEATURES

    With 10’ ceiling heights, this space doesn’t feel like a basement at all. Plus with 4,600 sq. ft. that features a walk out to a patio, 3 exquisite bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, as well as a recreation room, games room, theatre room and gym, the basement level offers incredible living space. One of the highlights of the basement is the gas fireplace with marble slab floor-to-ceiling mantle.
